IPOH, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- Police confirmed that no criminal elements were involved in the discovery of a man's body found in a stream in the Air Rengat area of Temenggor, near Gerik, yesterday.

Gerik district police chief Supt Abdul Samad Othman said a post-mortem revealed a minor tear on the man's head, believed to have been caused by a fall from a height.

"So far, the identity of the body has not been determined, and investigations are still ongoing to identify the victim. The case has been classified as sudden death," he told Bernama today.

Yesterday, at 9.10 am, authorities received information about the discovery of a body from the Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) auxiliary police in Temenggor.

The body was found by a 32-year-old Orang Asli man who spotted it in the river while passing through the area.
