KHUP5 Brings Together Information, Services And Expertise To Help Prospective Haj Pilgrims

SEPANG, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- The fifth Haj, Umrah and Tourism Carnival (KHUP5), which begins today and runs for three days, serves as a platform bringing together a range of information, services and expertise to help prospective haj pilgrims prepare for their pilgrimage in a more organised, confident and comprehensive manner.

Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) Group managing director and chief executive officer Mustakim Mohamad said 34 Haj Pilgrims Management Companies (PJH) were participating in this year’s carnival to offer special haj packages for the 1448H/2027M pilgrimage season.

“Besides haj packages, visitors can also obtain information on umrah packages and Islamic tourism.

“This makes KHUP5 a one-stop platform offering a range of options and information to help the public better organise their preparations for religious pilgrimages and Islamic tourism,” he said when officiating the carnival here today.

Also present were TH Haj director Mohd Hisham Harun and Haj Agencies Division head Anuar Mohd Ahmad.

Mustakim said KHUP5 also emphasised financial preparation, including through a talk session titled ‘Menuju Istito’ah: Multi Tabung’, while providing access to various services to help prospective pilgrims prepare for their journey.

“The participation of six major banking institutions, as well as Islamic estate and inheritance planning service providers, adds value for visitors.

“Visitors can obtain information on haj and umrah packages, as well as explore various Shariah-compliant financial solutions and services, including savings, financing, digital banking, takaful, travel protection, and estate and inheritance management,” he said.

He also advised prospective pilgrims not to be deceived by offers to perform haj without a valid visa or through unrecognised channels, while urging the public to remain vigilant through the ‘No Visa, No Haj’ campaign.

“I urge all prospective pilgrims to remain vigilant, verify information and seek advice from official TH sources and licensed PJH before making any payments or decisions concerning their haj journey,” he said.

He said TH recognised only the 34 approved and licensed PJH companies and had never appointed any other individuals or companies as agents to offer haj packages.
