KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil expressed his condolences and sorrow over the passing of Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sarawak Bureau photographer Muhamad Razali Nordin who passed away at Sarawak General Hospital (HUS) early this morning.

In a Facebook post, Fahmi said friends in the media industry knew the deceased as a very dedicated and committed person in carrying out his duties throughout his almost three decades of service with Bernama.

"Condolences to all the family members, comrades and friends of the deceased. May they be given strength and fortitude in facing this loss.

"Let's all pray that the deceased's soul may be blessed and placed among the faithful," he said.

The deceased, 54, who hailed from Batu Gajah, Perak, was known as a dedicated and committed person in carrying out his duties throughout his three decades of service at Bernama.

Razali started his career at Bernama headquarters in 1996 before working at the Sarawak Bureau in 2002, the Selangor Bureau in 2004 and returned to headquarters in 2009 before being reassigned to the Sarawak Bureau in 2011 until now.

It is understood that he suffers from several chronic diseases including heart, liver and kidney problems.

His health condition began to deteriorate since Ramadan until he was confined to his residence in Taman Sukma, Petra Jaya before being admitted to HUS for further treatment.
