JBPM Bag 19 Gold Medals At World Police And Fire Games 2025

SEPANG, July 9 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) clinched 19 gold medals at the Birmingham 2025 World Police and Fire Games (WPFG 2025), held in Alabama, United States from June 30 to July 5.

The 34-member team also secured 17 silver and 10 bronze medals at the championship.

Tenpin bowling contributed JBPM’s best performance, delivering seven gold medals, followed by six from golf, and three each from darts and bodybuilding.

JBPM’s debut in the bodybuilding category saw them winning three gold medals, boosting motivation to further strengthen participation in new events.

As for silver medals, golf contributed eight, followed by tenpin bowling (six), darts (two), and one from the push-pull and bench press event.

A total of 10 bronze medals were won through tenpin bowling (six), golf (three), and one in darts.

JBPM director-general Datuk Nor Hisham Mohammad, in a statement today, said the contingent’s success was driven by discipline and strong fighting spirit, which significantly elevated their performance and achievements in all events entered.

“In two years, the championship will be held again in Perth, Australia. We now understand our potential, and God willing, we will send even more bodybuilding athletes to represent the department and the country.

“So to all bodybuilding sports enthusiasts, start your training now and aim to participate in the next championship — it’s a great opportunity to make a name on the international stage,” he said.
