KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) has unveiled a dedicated microsite, fotoBERNAMA, as a one-stop platform to showcase the agency’s finest photographs.
Bernama Photo Editor Mohamad Bakri Darus said that the microsite, accessible via the link foto.bernama.com, allows users to browse, review, and download high-quality images easily.
“This special microsite will enhance the experience for our clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders,” he said in conjunction with the launch of the microsite today.
He also said that the microsite would complement the agency’s official website, Bernama.com, by enriching it with exclusive visual content.
“This platform will highlight the quality, creativity, and professionalism of Bernama in visual journalism while providing new opportunities to leverage digital technology in delivering high-quality content to our clients and the general public,” he explained.
Mohamad Bakri said that fotoBERNAMA will also feature a selection of historical images from Bernama’s archives, including a treasure trove of film-based photographs dating from 1980 to 2005.
“These 3.4 million images document key government events and significant milestones, and depict various aspects of human life and the environment. Our Photo Digitisation Unit is working diligently to digitise these images to ensure these national treasures are preserved for future generations,” he added.
