KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 (Bernama) -- Netizens from throughout the nation took to social media to extend their best wishes to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah on the occasion of the conclusion of His Majesty’s reign as the 16th King of Malaysia.
An X user, @salzian posted that Al-Sultan Abdullah would be remembered as one of the best Yang di-Pertuan Agong the country has ever had.
"Tuanku will undoubtedly be remembered as one of Malaysia's finest Agong, if not the very best. His legacy will echo through time, a testament to his remarkable rule. Daulat Tuanku!,” said the post.
For @khairunnisa2023, all of the issues during Al-Sultan Abdullah’s reign were successfully resolved through His Majesty’s wisdom which definitely had a significant impact in shaping the stability of the country.
"Tuanku has proven his wisdom throughout his reign as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong with the formation of the Unity Government. Tuanku's reign will be remembered by the people. Daulat Tuanku!," she said.
In addition, many netizens also praised Al-Sultan Abdullah for having people’s welfare at heart.
Facebook user Faizarul Ilya Madznan said: "I feel sad because the people’s ruler will end his reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong today.”
Al-Sultan Abdullah will be replaced by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, starting tomorrow.
