KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- Unifi Business, the business solutions segment of Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s (TM) converged Unifi arm, continued facilitating greater connectivity and digitalisation by serving close to 400,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) nationwide.

Unifi Business offers connectivity services for data and internet, mobile, and voice, as well as digital solutions such as its e-commerce hub, cloud storage and cybersecurity solutions.

Recently, Unifi Business launched its improved Digital Marketing Solution (DMS) to provide digital marketing services to help MSMEs build stronger brand presence and online visibility.

The newly improved solution also enhances MSMEs’ ability to connect more seamlessly to customers, leveraging digital and social media campaigns to highlight their products and services through online platforms.

Unifi’s head of SME, Mohamad Yusman Ammeran, shared that in addition to its innovative business solutions, Unifi is committed to helping MSMEs grow their leadership and digital capabilities and has worked with these businesses at the grassroots across Malaysia through numerous empowerment and training programmes.

“Through our solutions, professional services and training on new capabilities such as digital marketing, Unifi Business has helped MSMEs transform their businesses in order to remain relevant and thrive in today’s digital economy,” he told Bernama recently.

Mohamad Yusman said that through Unifi’s DMS, MSMEs will gain access to and leverage today’s most powerful online platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, search engines such as Google Ads, as well as Malaysia’s largest online audience network, Rev Media advertising.

“In addition to marketing plans that are affordable and tailored to various businesses and cover brand awareness, engagement campaigns, as well as lead generation campaigns, this solution also includes customised professional services to help businesses gain the most from their digital marketing spend,” he added.

According to Mohamad Yusman, Unifi Business’ DMS has helped MSMEs during the pandemic not only to survive but grow exponentially.

Among the MSMEs that have benefited from Unifi Business’ DMS is Mega Laziz Patin, an entrepreneur who sold Patin fish locally sourced from Sungai Pahang and experienced a 91 per cent increase in sales after participating in the campaign.

Another notable success is MUS by MJ, with its unique selling proposition of handmade ethnic crafts from Sabah, which saw its sales jump by 165 per cent after participating in the campaign.

In championing MSME’s digitalisation, Unifi is also working with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) to enable entrepreneurs to grow their businesses more effectively.

An entrepreneurship development program with Mara was kicked off in Sabah in January this year, which helped improve the sales of participating Bumiputera entrepreneurs by up to 40 per cent to 50 per cent.

“Harnessing digital marketing has positively impacted many merchants’ sales volume and sales leads, with many of them able to grow their business even during the pandemic years.

“Through our professional support and enhanced solutions, we aim to help more MSMEs grow their visibility and capabilities and better prepare them for the digital future,” Mohamad Yusman added.
