KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 17 (Bernama) -- The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, participated in a cycling event here today, joining members of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perlis Alumni and the Sungai Bunus Urban Farming Association.

Beginning at 5.45 pm His Royal Highness cycled alongside approximately 120 participants, with the route taking them through Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, the Police Training Centre (PULAPOL), and the Sungai Bunus Urban Farm.

The event aimed to strengthen the bond between the Raja Muda and the local community, with opportunities for informal interaction at key stops along the way.

Throughout the event, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin engaged with participants, witnessed a shooting demonstration at the PULAPOL range, and personally presented contributions to underprivileged PULAPOL members.

His Highness continued his ride to the Sungai Bunus Urban Farm, where he met with local stakeholders and observed urban farming activities that contribute to community development.

At the farm, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also planted a Harumanis mango tree, symbolising his support for local agricultural initiatives.

UiTM Perlis Alumni president Ahmad Shamsul Baharin Mohd Hanafiah, highlighted that the event was a collaboration between the alumni association and the Sungai Bunus Urban Farming Association, aimed at promoting community health and social cohesion.

He expressed gratitude for the support received from various agencies, including Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the police (PDRM).

“We hope to see more UiTM alumni participating in future community initiatives,” he added.

Celebrity Amar Baharin also took part in the event, sharing that his involvement was part of his ongoing commitment to charitable activities organised by the TTG group in collaboration with Tuanku Syed Faizuddin.

“This is my third time joining TTG’s initiatives, which regularly organise community events like this cycling ride,” he said.
