KEDAH TO STUDY BOOSTER DOSE REQUIREMENT TO ENTER MOSQUES
KUALA NERANG -- The Kedah government will study the need to impose a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose as a requirement for congregants to enter mosques following a spike in the cases in the state.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said the matter would be discussed with relevant authorities soon.
“I have called for a state Security Council meeting to study all the possibilities. Whether or not there is a need for the booster shot to enter the mosques will be reviewed in the meeting,” he told reporters after opening the Sekolah Rendah Integrasi Teras Islam (SRITI) Nurul Hidayah building in Pekan Naka here today.

MRT CORP COOPERATES TO ADDRESS NOISE POLLUTION AT TTDI
KUALA LUMPUR -- The Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) will fully cooperate with all relevant authorities to find a solution to the noise pollution faced by Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) residents.
In a statement today, MRT Corp said a team had conducted an inspection at Pinggir Zaaba, TTDI today, following media reports over the noise pollution issue.
“The results of the inspection at the site found that the MRT Kajang Route trains along the elevated tracks complied with the noise level allowed by the authorities,” it said.
However, the team also found the ambient noise at the location was at a higher level.

WIM WELCOMES NOMINATION FOR TSDNO WOMEN LEADERS AWARD
KUALA LUMPUR -- The Women's Institute of Management (WIM) has initiated the Tan Sri Datuk Napsiah Omar (TSDNO) Women Leaders Award to appreciate women who have broken the glass ceiling and achieved recognition in a position in their field of work and expertise.
In a statement today, WIM’s TSDNO Chair for Women’s Leadership chairperson Puan Sri Siew Yong Gnanalingam, said members of the public were invited to submit nominees for six different categories of the award, namely entrepreneurship or business, education, corporate management, social and community service, public service and technology.
“WIM looks forward to receiving many nominations of the many deserving women leaders in the country who have demonstrated strong values and contributed to the betterment of others in entrepreneurship, management, business or social work,” she said.
She added that nomination forms were available at WIM’s administration office on the first floor of Wisma WIM, 7 Jalan Abang Haji Openg, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, or they could be downloaded and printed out from its website at www.wimnet.org.my.
The closing date for nominations is April 20, 2022.
