Lucinta Luna weeps over malicious comments on her gender

JAKARTA, April 22 (Bernama) -- Lucinta Luna may not be well-known in Malaysia, but in Indonesia, the dangdut singer often gets coverage from media and is a subject among netizens.

While Indonesians are currently focused on discussing the post-Indonesia elections, Lucinta wept in a live Instagram post, berating a popular celebrity, Deddy Corbuizer, for calling her a man.

The live Instagram post yesterday was a subject of chat among Indonesian netizens, which among others also commented on Indonesia's General Election (Pemilu 2019).

In jest, some naughty netizens were calling the Election Commission (KPU), which is currently busy managing the Pemilu 2019 votes counting, to make an official announcement on Lucinta Luna’s gender status.

In fact, there were netizens who conducted public surveys through twitter and other social media platforms to ascertain Lucinta's gender.

The KPU is currently in the process of calculating Indonesian election ballots, to determine Indonesia's president for 2019-2024, in the election on April 17.

Based on the actual counting or calculation of the KPU's vote so far, incumbent President Joko Widodo, who is defending his post, together with his candidate for vice-president, Ma'ruf Amin is leading of Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno.

As at 10 am today, Jokowi-Ma'ruf is leading with 54.91 per cent out of 116,077 polling stations (TPS), from a total 813,350 polling stations.

A total of 77.5 per cent of the 192,828,520 eligible voters in the 2019 General Election cast their votes on April 17.
