PADANG BESAR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- The married couple and their baby who perished in an accident in Jalan Bukit Chabang here during heavy storm last night, were laid to rest at Kampung Kok Mak cemetery this afternoon.
The funeral of Mohd Hafiz Johari, 28, his wife Siti Asmah Abdul Khalid, 27, and their stillborn baby boy were attended by over 100 family members and friends.
Siti Asmah was due to give birth to her baby boy today.
In the 9.30 pm mishap, the car the couple was travelling in together with their four-year-old daughter Alya Huwaynaa collided head-on with a car driven by a policeman, Muhamad Amirul Naim Aziz, 24, during the heavy storm.
The impact of the collision also claimed the live of Muhamad Amirul Naim. His remains were laid to rest at Seriab cemetery earlier today.
Meanwhile, Alya Huwaynaa, Muhamad Amirul Naim’s wife, Ku Noorshakila Ku Sharudin, 25, and their daughters – Maya Iris Safiya, four months, and Mia Iris Safiya, two, – who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital in Kangar.
