10th RHB LEKAS Highway Ride To Draw Over 6,000 Cyclists From 23 Countries

SHAH ALAM, Sept 28 (Bernama) -- The 10th RHB LEKAS Highway Ride, scheduled for Oct 11, will see the participation of over 6,000 cyclists from 23 countries, celebrating a shared passion for cycling through endurance, diversity and camaraderie on the open road.

RHB Banking Group managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Rashid Mohamad, said the diverse participants highlight the event’s growing popularity and its ability to unite cycling enthusiasts from around the world. 

He also said the 10th edition of the highly anticipated cycling event is designed for enjoyment across generations, offering a safe cycling experience for families and friends on a closed highway.

“Last year, we introduced the 105 kilometre (km) distance instead of 120 km, allowing cyclists to complete the challenge more quickly and enjoy the evening activities with their families and friends. Given this distance’s popularity, we are maintaining it for this year,” he told Bernama. 

The event also includes a 12 km category route for young cyclists aged 10-12, and a 17 km category for cyclists aged 13 and above, enabling families and friends to enjoy the cycling challenge together, regardless of age. There will also be a variety of entertainment, game booths, and F&B kiosks. 

Mohd Rashid added that RHB cardholders would enjoy a special one-day priority registration and cashback rewards, including up to 50 per cent off registration fees for the first 50 cardholders (capped at RM100 per transaction), and up to 10 per cent off for the next 500 cardholders (capped at RM20 per transaction).

He emphasised that RHB is not just about financial services, but also focused on creating meaningful experiences. The RHB LEKAS Highway Ride aims to promote both mental and physical well-being while fostering inclusivity, as participants become part of a larger, supportive community that champions a healthy and active lifestyle.
