JASIN, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- A total of RM935,000 has been allocated to the Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU) of the Prime Minister's Department to implement the MADANI Adopted Village (KAM) 2.0 Programme in Kampung Bukit Katong, Rim here.
BHEUU deputy director-general (management) Nur Azlin Mohamad Awal said the implementation of KAM 2.0 programme was also a continuation of the success of its first pilot project in Pengerang, Johor last year.
"BHEUU also established strategic collaboration with the Rim State Constituency Development and Coordination Committee (Japerun) and the Jasin Municipal Council (MPJ) to identify local issues.
"In addition, we are also leveraging our existing expertise and experience to make this initiative a success," she said when officiating the programme here today.
The programme was also attended by Rim assemblyman Datuk Khaidirah Abu Zahar and Jasin district officer Datuk Rahizi Ranom.
Commenting further, Nur Azlin said the allocation from the Ministry of Finance was also used for seven main scopes of work to be implemented by MPJ.
"Among them are upgrading lighting through the installation of 31 solar lights from Jalan Rim to the Felda Bukit Senggeh roundabout, construction of an open hall in Jalan Rim and the construction of a workshop at Felda Tun Ghafar Bukit Senggeh.
"Apart from that, the programme also included work to upgrade Felda Bukit Senggeh Semai Bakti Hall, upgrade of the futsal court in Taman Jarim Jaya, Kampung Bukit Katong and upgrading the road in Jalan Bunga Mawar as well as tree cutting and cleaning work around the village," she said.
She said the KAM 2.0 programme also provides BHEUU with an opportunity to identify community issues at the grassroots level and provide holistic solutions for the well-being of the residents.
