According to him, the government had provided an allocation of between RM20,000 and RM70,000 for the organisation of Merdeka PJRMs in Terengganu, depending on the location and number of visitors.
“For PJRMs on premises, the subsidy is around RM30,000, while for open PJRMs it ranges from RM50,000 to RM70,000, and for mobile PJRMs, it is RM20,000 per series.
“The amount of this subsidy is also determined by the situation. For example, if there are many visitors on a particular day, the subsidy can be increased as needed,” he said.
Mohd Mufsi said that besides helping to ease the burden of rising living costs, the Merdeka PJRMs also fostered a spirit of togetherness and patriotism, as they were held on National Day.
