KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 (Bernama) -- Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) chief Gen Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris will make history this Sunday by piloting a Su-30MKM fighter jet during the aerial display at the National Day 2025 celebration in Putrajaya.
In a statement on Facebook, the RMAF said his participation reflects front-line leadership and symbolises the strength and unity of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
This year’s flypast will feature 30 aircraft, including fighter jets, transport planes and helicopters, from various defence and enforcement agencies such as the Malaysian Army (TDM), Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) and Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).
The RMAF added that the Air Force chief also joined pilots and crew earlier today for final preparations and flight rehearsals at Dataran Putrajaya.
Held under the theme ‘Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni’, the 2025 National Day celebration will showcase the nation’s defence capabilities through a high-powered aerial display of precision and patriotism.
“Our pledge remains. Duty, honour, sacrifice, even at the cost of our lives in defending peace and independence,” the RMAF said.
The RMAF also called on the public to attend the celebration on Aug 31 and be part of the historic moment with their families.
