PUTRAJAYA, June 26 (Bernama) -- Health development projects, human resource initiatives by the Health Ministry (MOH), and public health issues were among the matters discussed at the meeting between the health minister and state health executive councillors held here today.
Chaired by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, the regular meeting serves as a strategic collaboration platform between the federal and state governments to strengthen the national health system holistically.
In a statement today, the ministry said discussions also touched on the expenditure status and implementation of development projects under Rolling Plan 5 (RP5) of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP), as well as ongoing initiatives to enhance the delivery of healthcare services within the ministry.
"Issues requiring coordination at both federal and state levels, including COVID-19, dengue, sugar intake and healthy eating, tobacco product control, mental health, and the Measles-Rubella supplementary immunisation campaign, were also raised," it said.
The meeting, among others, focused on strengthening the commitment and consensus of all parties, particularly in policy coordination, information sharing, and shared accountability in addressing increasingly complex public health challenges.
