Shopee said in a statement today that the widespread user engagement was driven by enticing promotions including daily free shipping without a minimum spend, exclusive deals during the 12 PM Super Seringgit slot, Live-exclusive vouchers and participation in the engaging Roda Shopee game show.
"In the first two hours of 12.12, over four million items were sold achieving a remarkable 94-fold increase in orders for local sellers compared to an average day, propelled by the success of Shopee Live.
“Exclusive Shopee Live vouchers saw a substantial 211-fold increase among savvy users and there was a notable sixfold increase in new local sellers utilising Shopee Live for the first time,” it said in a statement today.
Additionally, Shopee said the livestream success extended to affiliates which significantly increased livestream activities by 51-fold, contributing to a substantial six times uplift in orders during the campaign.
