GM Klang Extends Operating Hours Until 10 Pm As Gesture Of Appreciation

SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's largest wholesale centre, GM Klang, will be extending its daily operating hours from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm, effective Nov 1, as a gesture of appreciation to the loyal customers who have supported it since its establishment 16 years ago.

Brand Communications senior manager, Norsuhaida Othman, said the extended hours will offer customers more opportunities to shop, dine and enjoy a variety of new experiences in a more relaxed, flexible and enjoyable atmosphere from morning until night.

She added that on Nov 1, the wholesale hub will host a special 'Ceritera Selangor' (Selangor Stories) themed event, featuring a diverse programme of multicultural art performances, traditional fashion displays, and a wide array of popular and ‘viral’ dishes as part of its "Rasa Fusion Food 3.0" festival.

"This event is not only symbolic of our new operating hours but also marks the beginning of a fresh, new chapter for GM Klang, one that is more vibrant, family-friendly and exciting.

"The evening hours will now become a new heartbeat for GM Klang, making it more inclusive. It's not just extra time for shopping; it's time for the community to gather, be entertained, and create special moments with friends and family," she said in a statement today.

Norsuhaida added that a range of activities has been planned to coincide with the extended hours, such as “Night Crazy Deals” with exclusive promotions starting at 7.00 pm daily.

There will also be a Monthly Lucky Night Draw: Shop & Win at GM Klang, with a motorcycle and a smart television as top prizes, as well as a weekly "Rioooh Malam Sabtu" series.

"This initiative is designed to brighten up visitors' weekends with a variety of different themes. It is a strategic move that also supports GM Klang's ambition to become a progressive hub for commerce, tourism, and community in line with the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year 2026," she said.
