KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 (Bernama) -- A girl, 15, reported missing from her home in Sri Malaysia People’s Housing Project, Desa Petaling since Friday has been found safe in Jeram, Selangor.
Cheras district police chief ACP Mohd Rosdi Daud said the girl was found at about 9.15 am in a residence in Kampung Bukit Kuching Tengah.
A local discovered her when she came to their house to charge her mobile phone.
"Acting on information they garnered via social media, the resident immediately contacted the girl’s family members and the police. The girl has been taken to the Cheras district police headquarters for documentation and further checks before being handed over to her family,” he said in a statement today.
He also conveyed his appreciation to the public for their cooperation and concern in helping to track the girl until she was found safely.
