LABUAN, March 26 -- All six petrol stations on the duty-free island will only operate from 6am-3pm starting tomorrow (March 27).
Labuan Disaster Management Committee chairman, Dr Fary Akmal Osman, said: “The six operators submitted a letter to the committee this morning stating their business operating hour plan in light of the spread of COVID-19.
“As we agreed with their concerns, especially for their workers, we approved their application and it will take immediate effect,” she told Bernama.
There are three Petronas stations (Jalan Saguking, Jalan Pohon Batu and Durian Tunjong), two Shell stations (Jalan Tun Mustapha and downtown) and a Petron station (town centre) on the island.
Labuan recorded five cases of COVID-19, but no deaths nor an increase in cases over the past week.
