ARCHIDEX Online to facilitate forging of new ties among key industry stakeholders

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3  -- The immersive virtual platform known as ARCHIDEX Online was launched today, aims at facilitating the forging of new ties and strengthening architecture, interior design and building industry to meet the evolving needs of their stakeholders.

Senior Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the ARCHIDEX Online or International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition Online would envisage benefiting thousands of stakeholders and businesses within the industry in this digital era.

“Adopting new technologies and innovating the way we work through a collaborative platform is pertinent, where borders are blurred and people can exchange information from different places in real-time in this globalised environment.

“The fourth industrial revolution has since revolutionised the construction industry, for example through the adoption of artificial intelligence where robots provide tremendous heavy lifting capabilities, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and many more cutting-edge digital technologies that are being adopted and deployed,” he said at the launch of ARCHIDEX Online, here today.

Also present was Malaysian Institute of Architect president Datuk Ar Ezumi Harzani and President of Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA), Datuk Vincent Lim.

Fadillah said ARCHIDEX Online came at the right time as this platform aimed to enable and empower businesses to be competitive through strategic partnerships, convenient sharing of information in order to enhance workflow and reach new markets.

“Hence, I believe the ARCHIDEX Online platform can open the portal to a new world order of the building and construction industry stakeholders to glimpse into what the future holds and evolve in order to remain relevant.

“I fervently urge all industry players from other related industries to come together with this one common goal and purpose of synergistic collaboration through ARCHIDEX and ARCHIDEX Online,” he added.
