TFCSB To Issue 'Warning' Letter To TFC Head Coach Over Poor Results

KUALA NERUS, Nov 6 (Bernama) -- Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) will issue a warning letter to the Terengganu FC (TFC) coaching staff following the team's less-than-satisfactory performance at the start of this season's Malaysia League (M-League) campaign.

In a statement today, TFCSB said the warning letter will be sent ahead of the Super League match against DPMM FC on Nov 20.

According to the statement, the management held a "post-mortem" session with the TFCSB Technical and Selection Committee following the defeat to DPMM FC in the FA Cup competition and the match against Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT).

"The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) calendar break was also utilised to streamline team preparations, but Terengganu FC still failed to secure positive results when they lost to JDT and Sabah FC.

"The TFCSB management views this situation seriously and acknowledges that current achievements have not reached the level expected by the club, supporters, corporate sponsors, and all residents of Terengganu," it said.

TFCSB stated that as a club carrying the name of Terengganu, every result on the pitch is not merely about match outcomes, but also involves the dignity, hopes, and trust of the supporters.

However, at the same time, the management acknowledged that responsibility for the club's direction does not lie solely with the players and coaching staff; rather, the management division must ensure that the structure, planning, resources, and support for the team are continually improved.

"TFCSB appreciates all feedback and views from supporters, describing the criticisms given as a sign of care and a sense of belonging toward the club.

"Therefore, we hope supporters will continue to give their support to the players and the team through this challenging period, while assuring that we will continue to monitor developments and take appropriate steps to restore Terengganu FC's performance," it said.
