Previously, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the CSR project in Kelantan, covering a 107.41-kilometre stretch between Kuala Krai and Gua Musang, was expected to be fully completed by 2028.

The project comprises 10 sub-packages in Kelantan, with a total cost of RM3.08 billion.

In a separate development, the state government has agreed to establish a four-tier Syariah Court system to strengthen the administration and management of the Syariah judiciary in Kelantan.

State Islamic Development, Dakwah, Information and Public Relations Committee chairman Mohd Asri Mat Daud said the Legal Affairs Division had prepared a proposal to establish a main committee tasked with drafting an enactment governing the administration of the proposed system before submitting it to the State Executive Council.

He said four locations had also been gazetted for the Syariah High Court, namely Bachok, Pasir Mas, Tanah Merah and Machang, as part of efforts to strengthen the state's Syariah judicial infrastructure.

“The allocation for the Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JAHEAIK) has also been increased to RM8.5 million this year, compared with RM8.12 million last year,” he said.

Mohd Asri was responding to a question from Harun Ismail (PAS-Tawang) on the state government's efforts to enhance JAHEAIK and strengthen the Syariah Courts.
