KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 (Bernama) -- Thirteen Muslim real estate negotiators were honoured at the inaugural Muslim Estate Agent Career Achievement Recognition (MECAR) Awards 2026 organised by the Malaysian Association of Muslim Real Estate Negotiators (PEHAM).
PEHAM president Idzwan Izzuddin Shah Ishak said the awards went beyond celebrating individual achievements, recognising the dedication, integrity and professionalism of Muslim real estate negotiators.
“It is not just about winning a trophy. It is about creating a culture where the hard work and achievements of Muslim real estate negotiators are appreciated and their integrity and professionalism celebrated,” he said at the MECAR Awards 2026 here yesterday.
Idzwan Izzuddin Shah said close cooperation among industry stakeholders, including PEHAM and the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEP), was essential to the development of the real estate industry.
He said such cooperation was also crucial to strengthening professional standards and enhancing practitioners’ competence through programmes such as Continuing Professional Development (CPD), the Negotiator Certification Course (NCC) and the Real Estate Negotiator Renewal Programme (RRP).
Idzwan Izzuddin Shah expressed hope that the MECAR Awards would become an annual event to recognise professional achievements and inspire the next generation of Muslim real estate negotiators.
Mohammad Badrul Hisyam Roslan of Renstar Properties International clinched first place in the Top 10 Muslim REN Malaysia 2026 category.
