KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Adopted Community initiative has been introduced to support urban People's Housing Programme (PPR) communities, with an allocation of RM50 million under Budget 2027.

“We will also provide communal kitchens, business equipment and training to help residents increase their income,” he said when tabling the budget themed “Reaching for the Sky, Rooted in the Ground” in the Dewan Rakyat today.
He said the implementation of the MADANI Adopted Village and MADANI Adopted School initiatives since 2024 had benefited nearly 500 villages and 1,700 schools nationwide.
Anwar also expressed his appreciation and congratulations to the management of ministries, departments and agencies, as well as corporate bodies, for making the initiatives a success.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister announced that the allocation for infrastructure repairs in Chinese New Villages would be increased to more than RM100 million, including the repair and reconstruction of dilapidated infrastructure.
He said the allocation for the maintenance of registered non-Muslim places of worship would also be increased to RM80 million.
