JANM Selects SK Belimbing Under MADANI Adopted School Programme

TANAH MERAH, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- The Accountant General's Department of Malaysia (JANM) has adopted Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Belimbing here as its adopted school through the MADANI Adopted School (SAM) 2026 programme.

JANM stated that SK Belimbing is among 1,500 schools selected to participate in the SAM 2026 programme, and this selection is not merely to fulfill government aspirations and initiatives, but also reflects its commitment to reaching out to the community and contributing directly to educational development.

"In an effort to strengthen the educational ecosystem in line with current needs, JANM has provided 22 Android Television units (Smart TVs) and eight air conditioning units for the use of the SK Belimbing community. 

"The installation process for these facilities was carried out in stages starting June 13," according to a statement today.

JANM stated that the provision of these facilities not only provides comfort to the school community, but also supports efforts to empower digital technology-based teaching and learning.

"The Android televisions provided can be utilised as a more interactive, dynamic, and modern learning medium, thereby opening up space for teachers to apply more creative teaching methods suited to current technological developments.

"Similarly, the provision of air conditioning helps create a more comfortable learning and school management environment, especially for teachers and the administrative staff," the statement said.

According to JANM, the implementation of the SAM 2026 programme at SK Belimbing is also strengthened through close cooperation between JANM, the Kelantan State Education Department, the Tanah Merah District Education Office, the school administration, teachers, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), and parents.

"This cross-agency and community collaboration proves that efforts to strengthen education cannot be shouldered by a single party alone, but instead require shared commitment and dedication to ensure that the aspects of welfare, education, and the development of future generations remain a priority.

"This initiative also reflects JANM's role, which is not only focused on its core function of government financial and accounting management, but also cares about community development through social responsibility approaches and community engagement, in line with the spirit of Malaysia MADANI," the statement added.
