ALMATY, Aug 31 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Erlan Karin, former first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, was appointed vice president of Kazakhstan on Monday, Xinhua reported, citing Kazinform news agency.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the appointment decree after parliament approved the nomination, Kazinform said.
Kazakhstan's vice presidency was established under the Central Asian country's new Constitution, which took effect on July 1.
