One Half Of Siamese Twins Successfully Separated In Riyadh Back In 2002, Passed Away This Morning - Brother

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- Muhammad Rosli, one half of the Siamese twins successfully separated through surgery in Saudi Arabia in 2002, passed away at 10:45 am today at the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital (HCTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Cheras, here.

The sad news was shared by his twin brother, Ahmad, via a Facebook post today.

"Assalamualaikum, I am Muhammad's older brother, and I wish to inform you that my twin has returned to his Creator at 10:45 am Malaysian time. A heartfelt thank you for your continuous prayers for his well-being, and may Allah reward all your kindness," he said.

Muhammad's remains were reported to have been buried at the USJ 22 Muslim Cemetery in Subang Jaya at around 6:00 pm today.

The media had previously reported that Muhammad was diagnosed with bladder cancer and underwent treatment at the King Fahd National Guard Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, since July 2025.

Muhammad reportedly underwent five surgeries and five chemotherapy sessions at the hospital before being declared cleared and continued follow-up treatments.

Yesterday, however, Ahmad informed that Muhammad's health condition had deteriorated after his blood acid levels were reported to be too high, leaving him in a semi-conscious state.

Muhammad and Ahmad once captured national attention when they underwent a liver-splitting surgery at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) in 2001, and in September 2002, both were successfully separated through a complex 22-hour and 45-minute surgery at the King Fahd National Guard Hospital.
