6.6-Magnitude Quake Hits Near Coast Of Central Chile -- GFZ

BEIJING, Feb 12 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck near the coast of central Chile at 1334 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 10 kilometres, was initially determined to be at 30.78 degrees south latitude and 71.60 degrees west longitude.
