Saudi Arabia Launches Integrated Digital System To Streamline Pilgrims’ Journey

04/05/2026 05:18 PM

MAKKAH, May 4 (Bernama-SPA) -- Saudi Arabia’s Haj and Umrah Ministry has activated its integrated digital system to facilitate the journey of pilgrims before their arrival in the Kingdom, through the Masar Nusuk platform.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the platform connects contracting procedures, operational and field activities, and visa processing within a unified digital infrastructure, reflecting the broad scope of digital transformation in Haj services and its direct link to the journey's readiness from its earliest stages.

The Masar Nusuk platform enables the automation of all procedures related to Haj, helping to save time, enhance execution efficiency, and improve monitoring accuracy before the pilgrim’s arrival.

Through approved digital channels, it enables the early, organised completion of several requirements.

The ministry has adopted a clear digital timeline on the platform, beginning with the provision of camp data and transfer to the electronic wallet, followed by contracting, uploading pilgrims’ data, and forming groups, culminating in visa issuance and the completion of pre-arrival readiness information.

Meanwhile, the Nusuk application stands out as one of the ministry’s most prominent digital tools, with its scope of use expanding year after year, according to SPA.

This year, the number of users exceeded 51 million from around the world, benefiting from more than 100 digital services. Users from outside the Kingdom account for 60 per cent of the total, enhancing the app’s ability to reach pilgrims before their arrival and enabling them to explore services and permits through a unified digital window.

In terms of leveraging emerging technologies in the holy sites, the ministry, for the first time during this year’s Haj, activated a system of sensors and smart readers for the Nusuk Card to manage crowd movement, monitor operational activities, track real-time pilgrim flows, and predict future behaviors.

This contributes to raising the efficiency of crowd management and enhancing the smoothness of movement between the holy sites.
