11/04/2026 11:02 AM

ISTANBUL, April 11 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- United States (US) military forces are still moving into West Asia in case operations become necessary, while American and Iranian representatives prepare for talks in Pakistan, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported, citing The Wall Street Journal report on Friday.

Recent flight-tracking information and a US official indicate that fighter jets and attack aircraft have already reached the region.

The official said that between 1,500 and 2,000 soldiers from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division may arrive within days.

At the same time, thousands of sailors and Marines are also heading to the region.

A Navy official said the USS George H.W. Bush and escort ships left the state of Virginia for West Asia at the end of March and are in the Atlantic.

Another Navy official said the USS Boxer and accompanying warships, carrying the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, departed from California in mid-March and are now in the Pacific.

The vessels are expected to need more than a week to arrive.
