TEHRAN, March 30 (Bernama-MNA) -- Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said Iran wants compensation for the losses it has suffered as a result of the ongoing US-Israel aggression, Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Mohajerani said Iran did not start the war, in which the country has endured “significant losses”, both in terms of human casualties and damage to civilian homes and infrastructure.
She also said that compensation is one of the demands to be discussed in any negotiations, adding that control over the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of sanctions are other key matters to be taken into consideration.
“We are willing to move towards a sustainable peace,” she said.
