NEW YORK, Feb 11 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar weakened in late trading on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, dropped 0.02 per cent to 96.799 at 3 pm (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro lost to US$1.1894 from US$1.1921 in the previous session, and the British pound dropped to US$1.3666 from US$1.3699 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 154.49 Japanese yen, lower than 155.68 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar climbed to 0.7682 Swiss francs from 0.7660 Swiss francs, and it decreased to 1.3551 Canadian dollars from 1.3557 Canadian dollars. The US dollar declined to 8.9021 Swedish kronor from 8.9094 Swedish kronor.
