JAKART, May 9 (BERNAMA-VNA) – The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the European Union (EU) launched the ASEAN-EU Blue Book 2024-2025 at the ASEAN headquarters in here Wednesday.
The Blue Book reaffirms the EU's commitment to supporting ASEAN’s community-building efforts and showcases the progress of the ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.
In his address, ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn emphasised that the ASEAN-EU Blue Book 2024-2025 remains a valuable platform that underscores the EU's unwavering support towards ASEAN community-building efforts.
“The Blue Book exemplifies the potential of the ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership and the remarkable progress achieved in implementing the ASEAN-EU Plan of Action 2023-2027,” said Hourn.
He added, “I share the significance of the Blue Book in advancing the visibility of our partnership to generate awareness among all stakeholders in our regions.”
Sujiro Seam, Ambassador of the EU to ASEAN, highlighted the Blue Book as a comprehensive overview of the multifaceted and deep relationship between the regions.
“The book offers a comprehensive overview of the multifaceted and deep relationship between our regions and our commitments to join hands in the pursuit of common goals,” Seam stated.
