07/05/2024 04:36 PM

SINGAPORE, May 7 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Singapore registered 249 new dengue cases from April 28 to May 4, bringing the total number of dengue infections to 6,815, according to the latest data from the National Environment Agency (NEA), reported Xinhua.

It is the first time the weekly reported dengue cases have dropped below 300 in the city-state this year.

However, the NEA warned the public that infection risk remains alerting as residents' immunity to the dengue virus remains low.
