Singapore Life Expectancy Improves To 83.9 Years In 2025 - SingStat

SINGAPORE, June 3 (Bernama) -- Singapore residents' life expectancy at birth rose to 83.9 years in 2025, up from 83.7 years in the preceding year, according to the republic’s Department of Statistics (SingStat) on Wednesday.

In its report ’Complete Life Tables for Singapore Resident Population, 2024- 2025', SingStat said the latest life expectancy showed an improvement of 1.0 year, from 82.9 years recorded in 2015.

SingStat said the resident male and female life expectancies at birth in 2025 were 81.8 years and 86.0 years, respectively, an improvement of 0.3 years for males and 0.2 years for females from 2024.

Over the last decade, male life expectancy improved by 1.3 years from 80.5 years in 2015, while female life expectancy improved by 0.9 years from 85.1 years previously.

"Residents aged 65 in 2025 can expect to live to age 86.6 years, an improvement of 0.2 years from 2024 and 0.8 years from 2015.

"On average, male residents aged 65 in 2025 can expect to live to age 84.9 years, an improvement of 1.0 years from 2015, while female residents aged 65 can expect to live to age 88.1 years, an improvement of 0.8 years from 2015," it said.
