Pilgrims Gather At Namirah Mosque For Arafah Sermon

ARAFAT, May 26 (Bernama-SPA) -- Imam of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi delivered the Arafah sermon Tuesday at Namirah Mosque, where the congregational prayer and sermon were attended by several high-ranking officials, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

In the sermon, Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi emphasised that Haj is a fundamental pillar of Islam rooted in absolute monotheism and submission to Allah.

He underscored that the pilgrimage serves as a vital platform for mutual acquaintance, harmony, cooperation and unity among Muslims of all nationalities and backgrounds.

Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi noted that a proper pilgrimage requires excellent conduct, truthful speech and the avoidance of sins, disputes and partisan or political slogans.

The sermon also highlighted the primary pillars of Islam, the importance of fearing Allah and the universal laws of divine support for believers.

Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi outlined the sequential steps of the Haj rituals, reminding pilgrims to maintain tranquillity, avoid overcrowding and strictly follow institutional crowd management regulations to protect public safety.

Concluding the sermon, Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims' rituals, the unity of the Muslim world and the prosperity of the Saudi leadership for their continuous service to the Two Holy Mosques.

Following the address, the assembled pilgrims performed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers combined and shortened, adhering to prophetic tradition.
