KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd (Bank Rakyat) is offering a deferment of financing instalment payments for up to six months to its customers who were affected by a fire incident in Kampung Bahagia, Sandakan, Sabah.
The deferment involves Housing-i Financing, Personal-i Financing, Vehicle-i Financing, Vehicle Hire Purchase-i, Micro-i Financing, Pawnbroking-i, and Credit Card-i, subject to stipulated terms and conditions.
"We express our sympathy to all the victims affected by this fire tragedy, which destroyed approximately 1,000 houses.
"The offer of a moratorium on financing instalment payments is one of Bank Rakyat's proactive steps to assist its customers during difficult times," said Bank Rakyat in a statement today.
Bank Rakyat said it hopes the affected victims will remain resilient in facing the unforeseen challenge and that the financing payment deferment assistance will provide relief and reduce their financial burden.
