KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 (Bernama) -- Rising young national rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli produced a creditable performance to collect three valuable points despite finishing 13th at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, early this morning.
The 18-year-old, who started from 25th on the grid, delivered a strong charge to close the gap on the leading pack before finishing within the points-scoring positions.
First place went to Italian rider Guido Pini (Leopard Racing), followed by championship leader Maximo Quiles (CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team) in second, while Alvaro Carpe (Red Bull KTM Ajo) completed the podium.
The result saw the AEON Credit MT Helmets MSi rider bring home three crucial points, boosting his position in the overall Moto3 world championship standings.
Hakim Danish now sits 14th out of 27 riders with nine points after three rounds.
He will next be in action at the Spanish Grand Prix on April 24.
