KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 (Bernama) -- Nippon Express Holdings Inc has acquired a minority stake in TCS Logistics (Private) Limited (TCSL), a Pakistan-based domestic logistics provider, through its subsidiary, NX South Asia & Oceania Co Ltd.
According to Nippon Express in a statement, the acquisition was completed on Feb 2.
The company said the investment supports the NX Group’s strategy of strengthening end-to-end supply chain solutions, with a focus on expanding its logistics capabilities in South Asia and surrounding regions.
Through this acquisition, the NX Group will leverage TCSL's domestic logistics network and customer base to strengthen its logistics operations in Pakistan, where domestic demand is expected to grow.
Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Karachi, the TCS Group is one of Pakistan’s largest logistics conglomerates.
TCSL operates a nationwide logistics network covering domestic land transportation, warehousing and distribution, as well as international overland transport linking Central Asia to overseas destinations via the Port of Karachi.
The group also aims to enhance trade lanes between Pakistan and Central Asia by developing new logistics services and identifying emerging market needs.
The collaboration with TCSL is expected to support customers’ supply chains and enable the NX Group to capture growth opportunities in the region.
