KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's property sector is expected to stabilise in 2026, with industry players cautiously launching their projects, coupled with the implementation of federal and state government projects such as Bandar MADANI and affordable homes which are steadily taking shape.

KL Wellness City executive director of branding, sales and marketing Datuk Seri Dr Vincent Tiew said it will be a peaceful year for the sector, where everything is moving towards a positive outlook for property developers, purchasers and buyers, be it first-timers or property investors.

"In the last two years, there were no major speculative investments by property buyers in Malaysia. Only in certain areas were there foreign buyers.

"Apart from that, I would say that property developers were very cautious. Henceforth, you see construction companies have been recording very steady growth and securing some reasonable contracts in the country," he said on Bernama TV programme, The Nation titled 'Malaysia's Property Outlook 2026' today.

However, Tiew said the prices of properties are projected to rise by up to 3.0 per cent, driven by the increasing cost of construction.
