Super League: PDRM FC Lose Again, Thrashed 1-4 By Sabah

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 (Bernama) -- PDRM FC continued their losing streak in the Super League after suffering a 1-4 defeat to Sabah FC today.

This marked the fifth consecutive loss for Eddy Gapil’s side, who last recorded a victory when they defeated Kelantan The Real Warriors in September.

In the match held at the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) Stadium, Sabah FC took the lead in the first half through Darren Lok’s goal in the 44th minute.

In the second half, The Rhinos continued to punish the home team with goals from Miguel Cifuentes in the 54th minute and Ajdin Mujagic six minutes later.

PDRM attempted to close the gap through Agbre Noel, who converted a penalty in the 74th minute, but Sabah FC widened the lead again when striker Fergus Tierney scored via a penalty at the end of the match.

Meanwhile, at the Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka FC recorded their first home victory after defeating Negeri Sembilan FC 2-0.

The two goals were scored by Brazilian import striker Douglas de Silva, helping the home side climb to 10th place.

Melaka FC opened the scoring in the third minute when Douglas successfully fired the ball in following an error by Negeri Sembilan goalkeeper Muhammad Azri Abdul Ghani, whose clearance was intercepted.

K. Devan’s squad continued to pile pressure on the visitors and doubled their lead once again through Douglas in the 26th minute.

In the second half, Negeri Sembilan attempted a comeback with attempts through Bosnian import Jovan Motika in the 56th minute and Luqman Hakim Shamsudin in the 69th, but none found the target.

During added time, Negeri Sembilan were reduced to 10 men after captain Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee was shown a red card for fouling an opponent, and the 2-0 result remained until the final whistle.
