Petronas Sets Up Task Force To Monitor BUDI95 Implementation

KAJANG, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- Petronas has established a special task force to monitor and address any issues in the implementation of the Budi MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) initiative at its stations nationwide.

Petronas Dagangan Bhd chief operating officer Azureen Azita Abdullah said the team, together with technical partners and station operators, is conducting 24-hour monitoring to ensure the system operates smoothly.

“So far, there have been no issues beyond our control. Everything is under control, and we can detect and resolve problems quickly,” she said after inspecting the rollout of BUDI95 at the Petronas Jalan Reko 2 station in Kajang today, joined by Malaysian Petrol Dealers Association (PDAM) president Datuk Khairul Annuar Abdul Aziz.

She added that Petronas is enhancing communication and training for the task force, as the main challenge in the early weeks is helping users understand the new procedures.

“At Petronas, we have trained all staff and station operators, and each station has a help desk. In the first few days, more detailed explanations may be needed, but once it becomes routine, it will run smoothly, Insya-Allah,” she said.

Meanwhile, Khairul Annuar said many station operators have additional staff to assist customers, especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PwDs), with the subsidised fuel process.

He said although transactions have been smooth, some customers still require direct assistance. To address this, operators are also providing additional materials such as infotainment displays, printed leaflets, and social media updates.

A total of 16 million eligible Malaysians began receiving the benefits of BUDI95 from 12 am today.

Under the initiative, RON95 petrol is priced at RM1.99 per litre compared with RM2.05 previously, with each eligible individual entitled to up to 300 litres a month.
