KUANTAN, Sept 14 (Bernama) – The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) will conduct tactical flight training from tomorrow until Sept 18 at Kuantan Air Base and in the surrounding airspace of Pahang involving fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters.
In a statement today, the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) said the training was in preparation for a dynamic demonstration in conjunction with the 92nd MAF Day Parade on Sept 20 and the Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Carnival on Sept 20 and 21 at the base.
"This dynamic demonstration will showcase MAF's ability to defend national sovereignty and carry out hostage rescue operations against enemy forces. Several explosions will also occur during the demonstration," the statement said.
It advised the public not to panic if they see low-flying aircraft or hear explosions during the training period.
The statement also invited the public to join the celebration of the 92nd MAF Day, themed 'Angkatan Masa Hadapan: Kedaulatan Dijulang, Pertahanan Diperkasa', featuring static displays of MAF assets and live dynamic demonstrations.
