KUANTAN, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- A foreign man and woman escaped with minor injuries after the car they were travelling in was crushed by a fallen tree at Jalan Batu 28, Ringlet, while on their way to Tapah today.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) spokesman said the department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 5.09 pm.
“We were informed that a tree had fallen onto a Perodua Alza, with a man and woman in their 40s sustaining minor injuries.
“When personnel arrived at the scene, both victims were already outside the vehicle. The team proceeded to cut the tree using a chainsaw and moved it to the roadside,” he said when contacted.
He said four firemen, including an officer from the Ringlet Fire and Rescue Station were involved in the operation, which concluded at 6.38 pm.
