KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- Boomi, the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered automation leader, has announced the local availability of its Data Integration from within an Australian data centre, delivering faster, more secure data movement aligned with national regulations.
The move follows Boomi’s acquisition of Rivery and reinforces its strategic focus on local infrastructure to address Australia’s growing data compliance and agility demands, according to a statement.
With the Sydney-based deployment now live, organisations can run Change Data Capture (CDC) and near-real-time Extract, Load, and Transform (ELT) pipelines entirely onshore—ensuring sensitive data remains within Australian borders while reducing latency.
Boomi Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific and Japan, David Irecki said the company is empowering organisations to innovate with AI without running afoul of sovereignty laws.
“This is about enabling trusted data, quickly and compliantly. With local deployment of Boomi Data Integration, we are removing any compliance barriers to AI related to data sovereignty while giving our partners and end-users the near-real-time data capabilities they need to innovate,” he said.
Boomi’s platform supports key local regulations, including the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), APRA CPS 234, and the My Health Records Act—critical for sectors like financial services, government, education, and healthcare.
The local launch is a cornerstone in Boomi’s broader platform strategy to unify integration, Application Programming Interface (API) management, and AI readiness under one intelligent, scalable layer.
It also reduces reliance on disconnected point solutions, helping customers simplify their technology stacks and accelerate digital transformation—securely and at scale.
