ANKARA, July 14 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- A 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s Tanimbar Islands region on Monday, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported, according to the German Centre for Georesearch (GEOFON) and the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
GEOFON had initially recorded the tremor at a magnitude of 7.
The epicentre was located approximately 167 kilometres off the city of Tual in Maluku province, at a depth of 65.7 kilometres.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to infrastructure.
