KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 (Bernama) -- Balanced physical and community development is key to creating a healthy and united society in the Federal Territories, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
She said that for this purpose, the organisation of programmes such as the 2025 Federal Territory Minister’s Cup Netball Championship was timely, as it could promote an active lifestyle, strengthen social ties and foster unity in the city.
“I had the honour of officiating the inaugural 2025 Federal Territory Minister’s Cup Netball Championship this morning at IWK Eco Park, Bangsar. The first edition of the event kicked off well and was marked by strong sportsmanship.
“Young talents who stand out, like the participants in this programme, should be given the support. I urge the Federal Territories Sports Council to identify their potential and provide them with the best possible opportunities,” she said in a post on X today.
She also congratulated all parties involved in making the inaugural tournament a success and expressed hope that it would become an annual event eagerly anticipated by the people of the Federal Territories.
