KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Rakyat programme (PMR) 2025 will head to Terengganu from July 10 to 12, bringing a wide range of services and initiatives directly to the people.

The event is spearheaded by the Ministry of Works (KKR) and the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department, with support from the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit, also under the Prime Minister’s Department, as the lead secretariat.

In a statement, KKR said the three-day programme at Pasar Kedai Payang and surrounding areas carries the theme “Pembangunan MADANI, Rakyat Sejahtera”, in line with the Malaysia MADANI vision and the government’s aspiration for holistic development, both physical and spiritual.

“A balanced MADANI development model has the potential to drive national progress, boost the economy and most importantly, enhance the well-being of the people.

“In line with this theme, PMR 2025 Terengganu will feature more targeted initiatives tailored to the needs of the local community,” the statement read.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the closing ceremony of the programme on July 12, which is expected to be attended by Federal and state senior leaders.

The public is encouraged to take advantage of a wide range of services, including Royal Malaysia Police traffic summons discounts, free health screenings, a job fair, free motorcycle oil changes, as well as haircuts.

Also available are helmet exchange services by the Road Transport Department, government service booths and exhibitions, community wellness initiatives and MADANI sales.

Headline events include the Tautan Hati Ganu Bersama Rabbani’ nasyid performance, a Selawat recitation and thanksgiving feast, a squid jigging carnival, tech and innovation showcases, virtual reality experiences and lucky draws.

To facilitate visitor access, feeder bus services will run between the bus terminal and the event site. The Kuala Terengganu City Council will also offer special parking discounts around the venue throughout the three days.
