Infrastructure Upgrades Among Issues Raised At Melaka Development Special Meeting

MELAKA, June 12 (Bernama) -- Issues relating to the people’s needs, including the construction and upgrading of strategic infrastructure as well as the addition of schools and educational facilities, were among the key matters discussed at the Melaka State Development Special Meeting held at Seri Negeri here today.

The Melaka Chief Minister’s Office, in a statement today, said the meeting, which served as a vital platform to coordinate development efforts between the federal and state governments, also discussed improvements to public health facilities and the implementation of public housing projects.

“The state government greatly appreciates the opportunity to engage in discussions with the federal government and is confident that every proposal will be thoroughly examined for mutual benefit.

“The Melaka state government also expresses its gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his ongoing support of the state’s development aspirations,” the statement said.

The Melaka State Development Special Meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, took place earlier at the Tun Mutahir Meeting Room, Seri Negeri, and lasted approximately an hour.

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, and other state leaders.

The statement also highlighted the state government’s commitment to working closely with the federal government to ensure that all plans were implemented in ways that would positively impact and benefit the people.
